Overview:
Learn how to identify sensory processing challenges while using evidence-based strategies to empower yourself to better support the children you care for, helping them thrive emotionally, socially, and physically. Michelle is a board certified pediatric occupational therapist. She has worked with children ages birth to twenty-one, in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, school and home-based environments. Michelle has worked with children with varying diagnoses including, but not limited to, autism, sensory processing disorder, torticollis, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, hemiparesis, stroke and neurological impairments. Throughout her professional career, Michelle has always had an interest in health and wellness. This interest gives her a unique approach when working with her clients as she incorporates a holistic approach when working with her clients. Michelle created a cooking group at a major health institution with a Health Supportive Chef as well as a guest speaker series to help educate and provide resources to families. Michelle is passionate about working with children and their families to help them thrive. She is the founder of Integrative Occupational Therapy in which she provides home based and telehealth occupational therapy services to children in Long Island, New York. She is available for consultations for families and support services outside of the New York area.
