Milestones in Speech and Language Development: Birth - 1 year explains how language develops and provides video examples of babies at different stages. Participants will learn how language skills build upon each other, which leads up to baby’s first words. All of the information presented is applicable to babies learning one language, two languages or even more! In addition to typical language development, a researched based language facilitation strategy will be taught to help babies learn language from the start.

Michelle is a pediatric speech and language pathologist with over a decade of experience and the founder of The Development Guide LLC. She is also a mom of two young boys who are her greatest joy. Michelle describes parenthood as the most challenging and most rewarding experience of her life. Michelle was inspired with the idea of The Development Guide while planning her return to work after her first baby. It struck Michelle that she was no longer going to spend all day, every day with her infant. She then began down the path of creating educational courses for not only parents, but caregivers as well, so all can learn the easy to implement strategies that help babies learn and use language.
